Lehigh County Community Corrections Center Reopens After Renovations

Lehigh County Executive Don Cunningham presented the newly remodeled $6.5 million Lehigh County Community Corrections Center, which now houses men and women.

The renovation added nearly 26,000 square feet and nearly doubled its capacity from 240 beds to 400. The construction, expansion and restoration of the center came in under its $6.5 million budget. Officials said the consolidation of the corrections program will allow Lehigh County to save $400,000 annually in operating costs.
