Riverside Drive Access Plan Abandoned by St. Luke's

St. Luke's University Hospital has withdrawn plans for an access road to Riverside Drive in Salisbury.

St. Luke's University Hospital recently withdrew a preliminary/final plan for a proposed access road to Riverside Drive in Salisbury Township.

Township Manager Randy Soriano said he was unsure whether St. Luke’s has abandoned that route or if it is has found another way to access Riverside Drive.

Township Engineer David Tettemer said that St. Luke’s came to the board with a proposal to do improvements to Riverside Drive in order to connect to its facility in neighboring Fountain Hill. He noted that the problem was that the hospital would have to relocate both Riverside Drive and the Norfolk Southern railroad line that is in place.
