Salisbury Township Passes Workplace Safety Policy

Salisbury Township's new workplace safety rules policy covers areas such as first aid, accident reporting and proper use of equipment.

recently passed a workplace safety policy.

Township Manager Randy Soriano said a committee has been working on the new rules since last June, when they started to analyze areas identified by the township’s insurance company.

The policy covers rules on matters such as first aid, personal protection, proper use of equipment, general safety rules, accident reporting and ergonomics.

“This is really a straight forward policy of common-sense safety rules that every employee should be aware of,” said Soriano.

“The nutshell of this policy is to protect our workers.”
