Pennsylvania State Rep. Ryan Mackenzie will host a Senior Expo on Friday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Luther Crest, 800 Hausman Road, Allentown.
Mackenzie represents the 134th Legislative District, which covers part of Salisbury Township.
“I invite seniors to come my Senior Expo and take advantage of the free health screenings that will offered,” said Mackenzie. “My staff and I will be on hand to explain programs and services that are available to seniors through my office.”
In addition to free health screenings, representatives from a number of senior care and services organizations will be in attendance to answer questions and share free information about resources on aging.
Flu shots will also be available to the public. Individuals who are on Medicare who desire to receive a flu shot should bring their Medicare cards with them.
“The expo is also an excellent time to learn more about the property tax and rent rebate that is available to Pennsylvania seniors,” said Mackenzie. “We will walk people through the process of applying and let them know of other programs for which they might also be eligible.”
