Salisbury Voters Will Choose District Judge, County Offices

Today is election day. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

The only contested race in Salisbury Township is for the office of magisterial district judge for District 31-1-08, which serves Salisbury township and Fountain Hill Borough. Candidates (D) and (R) are running for the seat, which has a six-year term. 

Three candidates are running in uncontested races for the board of commissioners. Robert Martucci (D) in the 1st Ward, Debra Brinton (R) in the 3rd Ward and Joanne Ackerman (R) in the 5th Ward. The terms are four years.

Five candidates are running for five uncontested seats on the Salisbury School Board. Each has cross-filed. The candidates are: Frank R. Frankenfield, George J. Gatanis, and . The terms are four years.

In Lehigh County, voters will choose a judge on the Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas, controller, district attorney, sheriff and four commissioners. 

In the Lehigh County Commissioner race, four Republicans and four Democrats are vying for four seats.

Competing for are Democrat Dan McCarthy, a Lehigh County commissioner and Republican Doug Reichley, a state representative.

2nd ward: Eastern Salisbury Fire Department, 1000 E. Emmaus Ave.

3rd ward, 1st district: Salisbury Middle School, 3301 Devonshire Rd.

3rd ward, 2nd district: Salisbury Township Municipal Building, 2900 S. Pike Ave.

4th ward, 1st district: Salisbury Middle School, 3301 Devonshire Rd.

4th ward, 2nd district: Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, 1151 Cedar Crest Blvd.

5th ward, 1st district: The Swain School, 1100 S. 24th St.

5th ward, 2nd district: Hope United Church of Christ, 1031 Flexer Ave.
