Two Eastern Salisbury Wards Could Get Redrawn

Population changes in wards 2 and 3 in Eastern Salisbury could change the districts' boundaries.

Residents who live in Eastern Salisbury Township might have to vote at different polls if their wards are redrawn because of population changes.

The Board of Commissioners and consulting firm Urban Research and Development Corp. are studying the possibility of redistricting wards 2 and 3 because of a disparity in population based on the 2010 Census. The wards are supposed to contain approximately equal populations.

Residents in Ward 2, an area near Laubach Park, currently vote at Eastern Salisbury Fire Department and are represented by Commissioner James Seagreave, a Democrat.
