KidsPeace To Charge Schools More To Use Pool

will pay more to use the KidsPeace pool in the 2011-12 school year, according to Christine Stafford, the district's business administrator.

The school district, which does not have a pool,  had been contracting a flat annual amount for itsto use KidsPeace's pool on Broadway. The rate, which was the equivalent of about $11.50 an hour, will increase to $30 in 2011-12, and $55 in 2012-13, Stafford told the school board at its Monday operations committee meeting.

KidsPeace no longer uses the pool themselves because they use the one at their Orchard Hills campus, but has been maintaining it for Salisbury, Central Catholic and other schools, said Stafford, who met with KidsPeace officials last week.
