Salisbury Dance-athon Raises $10,000 for Cancer Patients

Salisbury Middle School students danced 12 hours non-stop to raise money for LVHN's Prager Cancer Patient Assistance Fund

students raised $10,000 by dancing for 12 hours non-stop over the weekend to raise money for cancer patients.

The money will be donated to The Prager Cancer Patient Assistance Fund, part of the Lehigh Valley Health Network, and pays for a patient's non-medical expenses such as transportation to doctors' appointments, telephone and utility bills and other essential services.

The school's Interact Club came up with the idea for the dance-athon when they learned the fund was running low. The Dance-a-Thon began 7 p.m. Friday and ended 7 a.m. Saturday.
