Salisbury School Board OKs 2 Hires, 3 Resignations

The Salisbury School Board also hired two sports coaches and two volunteer coaches.

The Salisbury School Board voted unanimously to make the following personnel decisions:

  • Accept the resignation of Debra Roeding as an instructional support teacher at Harry S. Truman Elementary School, effective June 11.
  • Accept the resignation of Carol Grejda as a 12-month secretary at Harry S. Truman Elementary School, effective Oct. 1.
  • Accept the resignation of Laurie Ehrlacher as a part-time four-hour per day instructional assistant at Western Salisbury Elementary School, effective June 11.
  • Approve the request of Barbara Jaindl, library media teacher at Western Salisbury Elementary School and Salisbury Middle School for an FMLA leave for up to 60 days, effective March 18 through April 30.
  • Employ Robin Balsai to provide homebound student instruction.
  • Employ Kara Bellis to provide homebound student instruction.
  • Employ Victor DeOliveira, of Allentown, as assistant varsity track coach for the 2012-13 school year at the contractual pay rate of $3,058.
  • Employ Mark Kappes, of Allentown, as the spring strength coach for the 2012-13 school year at the contracted pay rate of $510.
  • Approve Louis Bottitta, of Allentown, as a volunteer assistant boys tennis coach without pay or benefits.
  • Approve Susan Young, of Bethlehem, as a volunteer junior varsity softball coach for the 2012-13 school year without pay or benefits.
