Salisbury School Board OKs 3 Hires and Recognizes Retiring Teacher

The Salisbury School Board adopted a resolution recognizing district teacher recognizing Lorraine A'Brunzo on her retirement.

The Salisbury School Board approved the following personnel moves at its Wednesday night agenda meeting.

Employ Elyse Saeger, Center Valley, as a four hour per day part-time learning support instructional assistant at Salisbury Middle School effective retroactive to September 30, 2013, at the first step of the 2013-2014 support staff salary schedule for instructional assistants ($15.21/hour).

Employ Anita Gopen, Macungie, pending completion of requirements, as a two hour per day part-time instructional assistant at Western Salisbury Elementary School effective retroactive to September 30, 2013, at the first step of the 2013- 2014 support staff salary schedule for instructional assistants ($15.21/hour).

Approve the request of Connie Yost, head cook at Western Salisbury Elementary, for a general leave of absence effective retroactive to September 14, 2013 through October 11, 2013, without pay and/or benefits as outlined in the agreement between the Salisbury Township School District and the Head Cooks’ Agreement.

Employ Paul Koba, Riegelsville, as the National Honor Society Advisor for the 2013-2014 school term at the 2013-2014 contractual rate of pay for this position of $1,221. (current teacher).

Approve Edward Nesfeder, Allentown, as a volunteer assistant varsity wrestling coach for the 2013-2014 school term without pay and/or benefits.(returning volunteer & current employee).

School directors also adopted a resolution recognizing Salisbury High School teacher Lorraine A’Brunzo on her retirement.
