Salisbury Students In Prestigious Regional Chorus Festival

Abigail Ludroff and Alan Mendez will sing in this weekend's Regional Chorus Festival at Parkland High School.

Two Salisbury High School students will join top high school singers from the eastern part of the state today, February 25, and Saturday, for the prestigious Region V Chorus Festival at Parkland High School.

  qualified for the event, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, that includes students from schools in 15 counties, including Lehigh and Northampton.

To qualify, students first auditioned at the district level and had to place high enough during a re-audition at the district level festival in January. Ludroff ranked fifth and Mendez ranked 13th.

Rodney Caldwell from Susquehanna University is the guest conductor.

The concerts are open to the public.

What: Region V Chorus Festival

When/Where: Two concerts at Parkland High School are open to the public. Tonight (Feb. 25), the performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, Feb. 26, the performance is at 2 p.m. 

What: Musical selections from various styles, cultures and historical periods will be performed. 

Cost: Tickets are $7 and will be available at the door.
