St. Thomas More School Dismisses Early Due to Water Main Break

Parents may pick up their children at any time today at St. Thomas More School due to a water main break.

St. Thomas More School issued the following notice:

A break in the main water line that provides water for the entire St. Thomas More School campus requires immediate repair, which in turn requires us to close the school early today. Our goal is to have everyone dismissed by 12:30 this afternoon.

Car Riders - may be picked up any time between now and 12:30 p.m.

Bus Riders - we are currently contacting the school districts to arrange transportation home, PLEASE STAY TUNED TO RADIO, TV, FACEBOOK, and EMAIL notifications regarding specific dismissal time for the school district in which you reside.  You may pick up your child at school any time between now and 12:30.

EXTENDED CARE WILL CLOSE AT 12:30 TODAY.

ALL AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ARE CANCELLED.

Please be aware that this repair may necessitate a delayed opening or school closure tomorrow.

Earlier version:

St. Thomas More School in Salisbury Township dismissed early Wednesday, Jan. 16  due to a water main break. Parents may pick up their children at any time today. Extended care and all after-school activities have been cancelled.

On Monday, Salisbury Middle School and Western Salisbury Elementary School dismissed early because of water pressure problems.

St. Thomas More issued the following notice:

"Due to a water main break, we must close school at this time.  The following school districts will provide transportation at these time.

Allentown - 12:30 pm
 
Brandywine - 12:30 pm

East Penn -  Between 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm
 
Northwestern - 12:30 pm

Parkland - 12:30 pm

Salisbury - 12:30 pm

Saucon Valley - 12:30 pm

Southern Lehigh - 12:15 pm

Whitehall - 12:15 pm


Patents may pick up their children at any time.  Please monitor emails, the STM website and our Facebook fan page about tomorrow.

Extended Care is closed.
All after-school activities are cancelled."

I thought some of these were on water systems, different from Allentown ? What do we have, instead of shootings, drying kids out ? Seriously, what about fire protection in these regions ? Few tankers, especially 10,000-gallon, left in Valley ???
