Swain School Presents 'Oliver!'

More than 80 Swain School students will perform in the family friendly musical, "Oliver!," March 16-17.

’s middle school drama program will present the family friendly musical, "Oliver!", on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17.

The production features more than 60 performers in grades 6-8, and 20 fifth-graders who will participate in two production numbers. Other students fill the roles of assistants to the director, stage manager, choreographer, and costumer.

“Too often shows intended to be performed by children force the young actors into roles that lie so far outside of their life experience that they have no honest way of connecting with the story," said Swain's Director of Theatre Robert J Wagner.

"I found a solution to this problem. 'Oliver!' at its core is about children in search of family and love. There are few things closer to our daily experience at The Swain School.”

General admission tickets are still available for all three performances. Ticket information is available at www.swain.org, or call 610-433-4542, ext. 152.
