Swain To Hold 42nd Annual Holiday House Tour

Swain Holiday House Tour participants can eat lunch or supper at the school and take the self-guided tour or ride in style to distinctive local homes decorated for the festive season.

in Salisbury Township presents its 42nd annual Holiday House Tour of beautiful local homes on Tuesday, Dec. 6 and Wednesday, Dec. 7. 

Participants can enjoy the tour via a bus or luxury coach, or a self-guided, "drive it yourself" option. The Holiday House Tour also includes the Swain Holiday Boutique as well as a Pick-a-Prize Raffe, Children’s Raffle, and Bake Sale & Sweet Shoppe. 

The Snowflake Express features a light supper beginning at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the school. Buses depart at 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m for the tour. The cost of tickets for the Snowflake Express is $45. 

There is also a VIP option for the Snowflake Express, which includes the light supper, luxury coach transportation, and a goody bag with snacks and drinks, for $80 .

On Wednesday, Dec. 7, the houses are open for a self-guided tour between 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Participants can also enjoy a luncheon at the school from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., served by Swain's Class of 2012 (eighth graders) in formal attire. 

Tickets for the self-guided tour and luncheon package are $40; tickets are also available for the tour only ($25) or the luncheon only ($25). Anyone buying three "tour only" tickets will receive a fourth ticket at no additional cost.

As part of the annual holiday event, the Swain Holiday Boutique will be offered. It will be open noon-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6  and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 at the school at 1100 S. 24th St. More than 45 high quality vendors will be hand for shoppers; the Holiday Boutique is free and open to the public. 

A Bake Sale & Sweet Shoppe will also be open during the Holiday Boutique hours as will a Pick-a-Prize Raffle and Children’s Raffle with over 20 gift items and baskets.
