Keys to Awesomeness:Hoping to make Salisbury High School the best place it can be, Jackie Busolits became a student representative to the school board at the end of last school year. Busolits and the other representatives talk to students to get their perspective on school issues. Some of the major issues this year are the new laptop policy and block scheduling. As a student representative, Busolits shares that feedback with the school board at the monthly meetings.
Busolits said she wanted this role because she loves Salisbury and wants to make it a great learning environment. Busolits feels she is contributing to making the school a better place. The experience is not only helping her get a better understanding of how a school district functions, she is also polishing her public speaking skills. She is a member of the debate team, student government association, Model United Nations and Future Business Leaders of America. She is a Falcon Ambassador and the manager of the school store. Busolits applied for early admission at Grove City College and hopes to become a history teacher.
