Keys to Awesomeness: These dedicated students with a passion for science competed in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science competition February 26 at Easton High School. They had been working on their projects, which taught them about the scientif method, since last summer. After selecting a project and researching its background, they learned to formulate a hypothesis and develop an experiment to prove or disprove it.  It took lots of hard work, but after they collected and analyzed data from their experiments, they prepared written reports and presented them at the competition.

The following students were awarded first place for their projects and will compete in the state competition May 15-17 at Penn State University: Ryan Fainor, Hannah Kahn, Daniel Walters, Christian Tiao, Brittany Burda, Michelle Dang, Amy Zamora, Shannon Pennella, Alex Ververelli, Patrick Golden, Ian Carey, Sinjon Bartel, Austin Watson, Gabby Maramag, Luke Chassard, Kelly Garrigan, A.J. Foulke and Sarah Kim.
