3rd Annual Brian Hahl Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day

The Valley Mountain Bikers (VMB) will host young riders, ages 7 to 16, and their parents for a youth mountain biking event on Sunday, Oct. 2. No experience necessary.

The ride is part of a nationwide celebration known as Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, supported by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).

The VMB welcomes all local riders who want to have a fun day on their bikes. Parents do not need to participate, but are welcome to if they like. Members from the VMB will be on hand to lead the rides and teach riders some mountain biking skills. There will be a skills area and games with prizes. Bike mechanics will be available for bike check ups, repairs, and maintenance (fix flat tires, repair/replace chains, etc.). The Coalition for Appropriate Transportation (CAT) in Bethlehem will be on hand for bicycle safety checks, helmet fitting and bicycle etiquette.
