Salisbury Baseball Goes for District 11 2A Crown

The Salisbury High School boys baseball team takes on Notre-Dame Green Pond Wednesday afternoon at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown in the District 11 2A final.

The Salisbury High School baseball team looks to clinch a District 11 2A title Wednesday afternoon in the title game at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown at 5:30 p.m.

Last year, the Falcons lost in the final to Pine Grove, 7-6, in a heartbreaker.

On Saturday night, the top-seeded Falcons gained a measure of revenge by coming from behind and scoring four times in the seventh inning to defeat Pine Grove, 6-5.

The Colonial League champs were led by Ryan Utsch, who drove in the game-winning run, according to the district's Facebook page.

The game is part of District 11 tripleheader being played at Coca-Cola Park Wednesday. The first game is Tamaqua-Southern Lehigh in the 3A classification at 3 p.m. The third game is Parkland-Whitehall in the 4A classification at 8 p.m.
