Area Residents Show Off Crafts, Livestock at Fair

Steers from Schnecksville, pigs from Orefield, goats from Lower Saucon, quilts from Coopersburg, and afghans from Emmaus were just some of the exhibits from area residents at the Allentown Fair.

With much of the Lehigh Valley's farmland disappearing to development, sometimes it's hard to believe the region was once covered with back-to-back farms.

The Allentown Fair livestock barns provide a yearly reminder to city slickers and suburbanites where food actually comes from. The sewing, knitting, quilting and other crafts exhibits in Ag Hall at the fair are a testament to the fine craftsmanship that still exists in the community.

This photo gallery includes pictures of exhibits from North Whitehall, Upper Macungie, Lower Saucon, Emmaus, Alburtis, Coopersburg, Easton and Bethlehem.
