High School Sports, Family Night Top Week Ahead

Drop by the Swain School for their 'Walk-In Wednesday' tour program this week. Also, the Salisbury Township Board of Commissioner meet Thursday.

As August winds down and thoughts turn to back-to-school activities, the week ahead in Salisbury features high school sports and school tours. 

  • The Salisbury High School girls varsity tennis team begins its season Wednesday with a home match against Moravian Academy, beginning at 2 p.m. at Lindberg Park.
  • The Salisbury High School boys football team will host a home scrimmage against Panther Valley Friday at 6 p.m.
  • Grace Community Church, located at 1290 Minesite Road in Allentown, will hold Family Night on Wednesday. Supper will be served at 6 p.m. Activities are held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • The Swain School, located at 1100 S. 24th Street in Salisbury Township, will hold a "Walk-In Wednesday," from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., so visitors can tour the facility. No appointment is needed.
  • The Salisbury Board of Commissioners will hold their bi-monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the township municipal building, located at 2900 South Pike Ave., Allentown.
