Clothing Drive, Playoff Football Game This Weekend in Salisbury

A production of 'Seussical' at St. Thomas More, a Community Day at Eastern Salisbury Fire Co. and a back-to-school event at the Lehigh Valley Mall also highlight weekend events.

Another summer weekend of festive fun is upon us and we've got the goods to help you make choices concerning how to have some fun.

Here's what's going this weekend in and around Salisbury Township:

  • Eastern Salisbury Fire Company, Station 20, is hosting a Community Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and the public is invited.  Planned at the firehouse, at 1000 E. Emmaus Ave., are activities for kids and craft vendors for adults. The township fire safety house will be set up to help educate residents about what to do in an emergency. Judge, the arson dog, also will be on hand. Information also will be available to those interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter or fire police officer.
  • The Salisbury Cheerleaders are holding a clothing drive at Salisbury High School from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Please drop all items off at the Salisbury High School Old gym entrance anytime during these two collection times. Please place all items in tightly tied plastic bags. All items can be bagged together except for shoes.
  • There's plenty of entertainment at the Molten Lounge at Sands Bethlehem this weekend. On Friday, the Craig Thatcher Band plays at 9:30 p.m. On Saturday, it's Emily's Toybox at 9:30 p.m. On Sunday, Large Flowerheads entertain starting at 8 p.m.
  • Valley Vivaldi IV, a summer concert featuring Baroque chamber music performed by principal instrumentalists of the Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra will be held Sunday at Wesley Church, 2540 Center Street, Bethlehem. Click here for ticket information.

Lady's Day Out, a Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser, will be held Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 75 E. Market Street in Bethlehem. Click here for more information.
