Everything You Need to Know About the Salisbury Football Booster Club Car Show

A card and collectibles show at the South Mall, an extra day of haunting at the Devil's Folly and Salisbury High School's Homecoming football game highlight the weekend's local attractions.

Car aficionados won't want to miss the second annual Salisbury Football Booster Club Car Show on Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Salisbury High School.

Muscle cars, antiques, street rods, 4X4's tuners and race cars will be on display. Best of Show trophies will be awarded in several categories.

Other activities include a DJ, the Ricky Smith and the Crush band, a 50/50 raffle and food concessions.

Pre-registration is $12 and $15 on the day of the show.

The rain date is Sunday.

  • The South Mall will host a Sports Card and Collectibles Show from Thursday through Sunday. You can visit exhibits by local and regional collectors of sports cards and related collectible items. Representatives from  SCG, Sports Card Guarantee, will be on site Saturday only, to authenticate cards.
    • The Devil's Folly Haunted Attraction, located at 3350 Devonshire Road in Salisbury will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine. Hours are from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Parking is available for the attraction at the Salisbury Middle School parking lot.
    • Monday is the Columbus Day holiday, giving some folks a three-day weekend. Banks have the option to close. Post offices are closed and there will be no U.S. Mail delivery.The Salisbury Township School District is closed. Salisbury Township municipal offices are open. Garbage will be collected on a regular schedule. PennDOT driver license and photo centers will be closed Saturday through Monday.

    • Dorney's Park's Boo Blast offers daytime Halloween fun for kids this weekend. Boo Blast is free with park admission and open noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. (Planet Snoopy is open until 8 p.m. on Saturday). New this year is the Mansion House Hotel where kids can wander haunted hallways in search of friendly ghosts.

    Snoopy's Big Treasure Hunt
    • Kids can hunt for treasures on a life-sized pirate ship.
    DaVinci Science Center hosts the traveling Tech City exhibition Saturday and Sunday, as part of the center's Year of Innovation by presenting a playful series of challenges that introduces visitors to the design and creation processes that generate innovative products and ideas. Sponsored in part by City Center Lehigh Valley, Tech City also introduces DSC characters Julie and Zach, who will highlight how engineers around the world are meeting similar challenges. The DaVinci Science Center is located at 3145 Hamilton Boulevard Bypass. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, click here.
