Trivia: Eastern Salisbury Fire Co. is a joining of former Salisbury #1 & River Road Fire Co.s.Read More Once somewhat warring, they chilled out & design a common, single company. Before, first mobile piece of apparatus for the new "Weswtern Salisbury Fire Co." was an old ambulance, donated by "Salisbury - 1," ambulance team. (Belated thanks, to a once great squad). First Western Salisbury engine was found by very beloved, now deceased, Chief Jack Kelly. Shortly after, he got us a new "economy" engine, at 1/2 price. Once an awesome leader, well-equipped, she served the western end (& those of us who manned her), extremely well !! (Now stands quitely at rest, however still watching guard, at the original station on Eisenhower Ave). Thank you!
