HALF FULL OR HALF EMPTY: Either way you look at it, the House-passed state budget is underfunding the state’s pension plans.
Elyssia Mathias June 18, 2013 at 05:28 pm
Who funds pensions? Where does the money come from?
NS June 18, 2013 at 07:36 pm
You do........taxes
John June 18, 2013 at 08:51 pm
And they are about to go up, huge! This number is going to be dropped in the lap of local taxpayersRead More to pay this bill. I will move out of this ridiculous state before I am left holding the bag paying people who feel entitled. In this case, the average Parkland teacher salary is @ $72,000/yr....yes, $72,000 for 190 days of work...and that includes the last 2 weeks of videos, films and field trips. NO!

Don't believe this story.

My kids went up to be in the movie. So did a lot of other people.

Like everything on line, just practice caution. I like to do good things, altruistically, however,Read More the world has taught not to trust "a stranger." Actually, it hurts. Just yesterday, 84 degrees, I wanted to help elderly struggling to take a 'ton' of groceries home. Hope she didn't say "no" out of fear. :-(

Salisbury Commissioners, you destroyed the serenity of Franco Park with construction, westernRead More Salisbury with tons of streets & housines packed together, , allowing trees to be trashed left & right, now you have to dig up the park? Can't you recognize the serenity of nature, and cut-grass open space? Do you know the grass & slaughterd trees provide(d) us with clean oxygen???

Is it good to sell guns at a wall mart where it can end up for use by someone with bad intentions?
Rich Cranium June 13, 2013 at 05:32 pm
You do know that anyone can already buy any of these things right? Well except for the guns, whichRead More you will need a background check for. Should we start doing background checks for helmets, cars, lockers, radios, clubs, and jackets now?

I never knew this growing up here. I lived in other states where one can buy booze anywhere. ComingRead More back here and how screwed up PA is plain old bureaucratic balony that needs to change. I buy specialty beers by the bottle in NJ for 12 yrs never once had i been told of this "law" nor has it ever come up in my life. So my msg to our PA govt, please change this law. And privatize booze!
Kaelsma June 16, 2013 at 12:26 pm
It's not always about the price. My favorite wine is from a small winery in North Carolina and theyRead More don't even sell it in Pennsylvania.
Blackdemon June 18, 2013 at 12:40 am
I work in The Peoples Republic of Jersey, so I buy my gas there. I also generally stop to getRead More alcohol there also. It is cheaper, and they normally have a better choice. I wouldn't drive there for just that, but since I am already there. I could really care less if PA doesn't like it. Kinda like people from Jersey coming over here to get fireworks.

Hey Starship.... you are another Fox Noise victim. Of the 157 events Shulman was "cleared toRead More attend," White House records only provide time of arrival information -- confirming that he actually went to them -- for 11 events over the 2009-2012 period. The fact that just because a meeting was scheduled and Shulman was cleared to attend it does not mean that he actually went. Routine events like the biweekly health-care deputies meeting would have had a standing list of people cleared to attend, people whose White House appointments would have been logged and forwarded to the check-in gate. But there is no time of arrival information in the records to confirm that Shulman actually signed in and went to these standing meetings.

Starship.... Just load up the GOP Presidential choices with as many wacko Tea Party candidates asRead More you can find. The only way the GOP can win is they return to intelligent respectable candidates who are willing to compromise for the good of OUR Country.

so stupid, why take a child there if it is an amergency, no in patient beds so then the child wouldRead More have to be transported to a real hospital, better off going 5 minutes down 309/I78 to Lehigh Valley Hospital - Children's Hospital at Cedar Crest
Suzanne Focht June 8, 2013 at 01:02 pm
It is for "urgent" care, not "emergencies". Things like ear infections, strepRead More throat, etc. Things that don't require a child to be hospitalized.
