Matthew Royer, 21, left his apartment at the University of Rhode Island on Thursday and has not been seen since.
Police are asking for help in locating a missing Skippack man who hasn’t been heard from since leaving his Rhode Island college on Thursday. Pennsylvania State Police say that Matthew R. Royer, 21, left the University of Rhode Island on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. en route to his Skippack Township home, but has not been heard from since. Royer is 6-feet-1 and 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes, and police believe he is driving a silver 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt. Royer’s last cell phone activity was traced to somewhere near Vera Cruz Road in Lehigh County, according to a WFMZ report. Police arrested a Lower Macungie Township woman after she allegedly put medication into burritos and fed them to her husband and daughter.
A Lower Macungie woman, angry because her husband and daughter didn't invite her to go car shopping with them, allegedly poisoned burritos with some sort of medication and fed them to her family, according to a WFMZ report. Ann Marie Haines, 42, of Yorkshire Drive in Lower Macungie Township, was arrested last week and jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail. According to online court records, Haines was charged with: Haines' husband and daughter felt dizzy and tired after eating the burritos, according to a Lehigh Valley Live report. Haines has been assigned a public defender to represent her.

House painter stole Picasso artwork, police say: Prosecutors in New York said an Easton man stole $100,000 worth of artwork—including a piece by Picasso—from an estate he had been hired to paint. Salisbury Police report another burglary and an attempted burglary; residents urged to watch for suspicious activity.
Police reported a burglary and an attempted burglary Wednesday. Two men distracted a woman at her Ritter Street home while a third person went inside and stole items and cash, according to a post on the Salisbury Township Police Facebook page. An attempted burglary on East Emmaus Avenue was interrupted by a neighbor. Police said three people were trying to force their way into a home. Police ask residents to stay alert for suspicious activity and call 911 or 610-437-5252. There's been a rash of burglaries in the township—14 during a 30-day period in March and April. Police arrested three people late Monday and charged them with burglary.

Prostitution sting at Allentown strip club nets 11 arrests, included an alleged 'madam' who is 21.
A 21-year-old Lehigh County resident is among 11 women arrested in a prostitution sting at an Allentown strip club, according to the state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement. Alisha M. Litzenberger, of 4198 Chestnut St., Upper Milford Township, is charged with promoting prostitution after allegedly arranging for undercover officers to meet with 10 other women in a private room of Platinum Plus, 1251 Airport Road, where they brokered sex acts, including oral sex, in exchange for money, according to police. The private room, known as the “Champagne Room,” is a separate room in the Lehigh County strip club available for dancers and club patrons to meet privately for periods of time for an additional cost. Salisbury Police arrest three people after a rash of residential burglaries.
Salisbury Township Police arrested three people late Monday for burglary and attempt to commit burglary. The arrests are related to burglaries in the area of Lindberg Avenue and may also be connected to crimes at homes on the east side of the township, police said. The township was hit with at least 14 burglaries in a 30-day period from March into April. Police arrested: The three were nabbed during a traffic stop in Lower Milford Township. A young woman is in jail charged with stealing from her grandmother's jewelry box in Salisbury Township.
Stephanie Marie Wood, 18, of Forest Drive, Coopersburg, is jailed in Lehigh County Prison after being charged with stealing from her grandmother, who lives in Salisbury Township. Wood stole jewelry valued at $5,000 and sold it for $1,000 to buy drugs, according to a Morning Call report. Court records say Wood was arrested by Officer Bryan S. Losagio of Salisbury Township Police and was arraigned Friday before Magisterial District Judge Karen C. Devine in Allentown. Wood was unable to post bail. Next, she will face a preliminary hearing.

Lehigh County residents discarded a record 1,557.5 pounds of expired, unwanted and unused prescription and over-the-counter medications at 17 sites during the sixth National Take Back Day. That brings the total amount collected in Lehigh County during the last six events to 4,826 pounds. Salisbury Township Police collected 55 pounds of drugs at a drop-off point at South Mall. The event was coordinated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, Lehigh County police departments, Pennsylvania State Police and the Allentown Health Bureau.
