2 Men Killed by Trains on Same Day

Two young men were hit and killed by trains Sunday

Two young men were killed by trains -- one was ruled a "suicide by train -- in the greater Lehigh Valley area on Sunday. There's no indication the deaths were related, but were instead a bizarre coincidence. The deaths come less than a month after a woman escaped injury when she accidentally drove onto train tracks near South Mall in January and got stuck there. On Sunday, a 19-year-old Wilson man died after being hit by a Norfolk-Southern Train near Island Park Road along the Lehigh River in Glendon, according to Pennsylvania state police at the Belfast barracks. The man's legs were severed, said Easton Police. He died of blunt force trauma injuries at St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill. His death has been ruled a suicide by …

State Police Make Arrest in Walbert Homicides

Althea and Jeannette Walbert, mother and daughter, were found slain in their home on March 11.

Pennsylvania State Police at Bethlehem say they have made an arrest in the Althea and Jeannette Walbert homicide case. They and Alburtis Police Chief Robert Palmer will release details in an 11 a.m. joint press conference at the barracks.
