Catch the Iron Pigs season opener against the Syracuse Chiefs Thursday at Coca-Cola Park.
The first 3,000 fans 18 and older will receive a fleece blanket presented by Service Electric Cable TV & Communications as part of the opening night festivities on Thursday, April 4 at Coca-Cola Park. The 2013 Lehigh Valley IronPigs season starts at 7:05 p.m. against the Syracuse Chiefs with all gates opening extra early at 5 p.m. for a pre-game happy hour featuring $1 hot dogs and $2 domestic drafts until 6 p.m. Butch Patrick, who starred as Eddie Munster on the hit 1960s TV show "The Munsters," will throw out the season's ceremonial first pitch. Get a sneak peek at the top prospects in the Phillies organization when the Lehigh Valley IronPigs host the Double-A Reading Fightin Phils in the sixth annual U.S. 222 Showcase exhibition game at Coca-Cola Park on Tuesday, April 2. Game time is 6:35 p.m. with all gates opening at 5:30 p.m. to kick off the 2013 season. Parking is free for this event. All tickets to the 222 Showcase will be General Admission, granting fans access to the Field Level seating bowl on a first-come, first-served basis. Coca-Cola Park will be the first sports venue in the world to feature a new "Urinal Gaming System,” allowing fans to interact with the world's only truly hands-free urinal game controller, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs announced Tuesday. The "p-controlled" video game systems will be featured in all men's restrooms at Coca-Cola Park. "These games are sure to make a huge splash," quipped IronPigs General Manager Kurt Landes. Lehigh Valley Health Network will administer free seasonal flu vaccinations for adults and children six months and older this weekend: Once again this year LVHN is partnering with area food banks and shelters including the Allentown Area Ecumenical Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank, Allentown Rescue Mission and the AIDS Activities Office food pantry to accept donations of non-perishable food items that have not expired during each of the drive-thru sessions. A boatload of weekend games during the premier summer months, along with dozens of rivalry games against the Yankees', Red Sox' and Mets' Triple-A affiliates highlight the Lehigh Valley IronPigs 2013 home schedule. The sixth season in club history debuts Thursday, April 4 against the Syracuse Chiefs at Coca-Cola Park, marking the first of seven consecutive home games to commence the campaign. The 144-game schedule once again features 72 home games at Coca-Cola Park although the calendar is backloaded and includes 61 of those home dates after May 1. Also, nearly half of the games (34 of 72) are slated for weekends. The longest homestand of the year is a nine-gamer from June 25 to Independence Day Eve on July 3. Additional holiday home games…

Coca-Cola Park, the most visited venue in Minor League Baseball for each of the last three seasons, will serve as the host venue for the 2013 Gildan Triple-A National Championship game on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs announced this week.
