Celebrate New Year's Eve on Main Street in Bethlehem

Live music, cash bar, free champagne toast planned for inaugural open air New Year's Eve Celebration on Main Street.

  The Downtown Bethlehem Association will host the first ever Main Street New Year’s Eve celebration to ring in 2013. The open-air celebration in the Historic Downtown will feature live music with the Trouble City All-Stars and the Lehigh Valley Harmonizers, a cash bar, food vendors and a free champagne toast at midnight. In Bethlehem, we all know about the Peeps drop, but this event will culminate at midnight with a “Bethlehem Star rise.” “Our board of directors wanted to pull this together because there is nothing that happens anymore at midnight in Bethlehem,” said Samantha Schwartz, manager of the DBA. Free Parking in Bethlehem, Easton for Holiday Shopping on Saturdays

A mobile app from ParkNow will allow holiday shoppers to park for free in Bethlehem from November 24 through December 22.

  The Bethlehem Parking Authority and ParkNow are offering free Saturday parking from November 24 through December 22 if you use this mobile app. What’s mobile parking? Call: Call the local pay by cell phone number with your cell phone which is listed on the meter sticker or nearby sign. App: Get the ParkNOW app on your smartphone. Text: Use a text message to stop/start your parking sessions. Just text the command Park followed by the location (city) and space number to 32075. Online: A personal account will be created for you when you register at www.goparknow.com. Easton, meanwhile will offer free parking a meters in the city's downtown on Saturdays during the holidays, beginning today through December 29.
