Police in Florida have identified the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed Paula Vinsky, a Salisbury High School graduate who was teaching in the Palm Beach County School District. Vinsky died at the scene after being hit from behind in Loxahatchee last Wednesday around 9 p.m., according to the Palm Beach Post. The driver was Megan Mathis, 25, and she may not have realized she hit Vinsky because of dark conditions on the road, WPTV reports. Mathis has not been charged and has no criminal history, according to the Palm Beach Post.
