A bank robber is still at large after a Thursday night robbery, and police are asking for your help. The robbery took place around 8:45pm at the TD Bank in Quakertown. Police say that a man, described as a white male with a fake blond beard wearing a skullcap and a shirt with a Panthers logo, held up the bank with a handgun. He fled north in a dark-colored Cadillac. Police caught site of a car matching the description heading north through Coopersburg, where it parked at 4163 Fairmount Ave. in Upper Saucon Township. "The officer who saw the vehicle saw him exit the car at which point he called for the man to stop," said Quakertown Det. Lt. Donald Bender. According to a breaking news alert from police, officers from Bucks and Lehigh counties converged on a Coopersburg home in a residential neighborhood after bank robbery suspect flees inside.
UPDATE 11:30pm Thursday An article in the Morning Call states that the SWAT team pulled out of the Coopersburg area after a robot released into a home at 4163 Farimount Ave. in Coopersburg turned up nothing. Police continue to search the area for the suspect.
