Shortly after the driver of a minivan crashed through the front of Bird Mania Tuesday morning, two vehicles collided across the street in the 3200 block of W. Emmaus Avenue, injuring one of the drivers. Cindy Kehm of Emmaus was injured when the Ford SUV she was driving was struck from behind by a Jeep, according to her son Rob Kehm. She was taken by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, according to police. Salisbury Township Police officer Mike Palansky said Kehm was at a stop on W. Emmaus Avenue and about to turn left onto Second Avenue, when the driver of the Jeep, who tried to stop, struck her from behind. A man who was in a rush to get to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in time for his girlfriend to deliver their baby was involved in a minor accident, according to Salisbury Township Police Department. The Aug. 18 accident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. when the man, who was driving south on Cedar Crest Boulevard, missed his turn and made a U-turn at Fish Hatchery Road, police said. His car struck another vehicle on the passenger side that was driving south on Cedar Crest Boulevard, causing scuff marks and the mirror to break off, police said.
