Starbucks on Lehigh Street Robbed, Police Say

Salisbury Township police say in a Facebook posting that an arrest was made in the 6 p.m. robbery on Saturday.

Starbucks on Lehigh Street was robbed about 6 p.m. Saturday, according to a Salisbury Township Police Facebook posting. An arrest has been made, police said. According to reports in The Morning Call and wfmz.com, Todd Singley, 41, of Milford, N.J, was apprehended later Saturday and has been charged with armed robbery in the case. He also has been charged with two other robberies in Allentown, according to the reports. Allentown police assisted.   Check back with Patch for updates.

Try a new Starbucks' Refresher Today, for Free!

The coffee chain is giving away its new energy drink that looks and tastes nothing like coffee today, Friday, July 13, from noon to 3 p.m.

It's not Red Bull. Not Amp. Not Monster. But there's a new summer drink from Starbucks that apparently packs a punch. Refreshers is a drink that is a "thirst-quenching pick-me-up that packs a boost of natural energy from green coffee extract but looks and tastes nothing like coffee," says Starbucks. On Friday, July 13 from 12 to 3 p.m., you can get a free 12-ounce, hand-crafted shaken Refresher, one per customer. It comes in two flavors: Cool Lime, with real lime, and Very Berry Hibiscus, with whole raspberries. The new drink is combined with real fruit juice, B and C vitamins and ginseng.
