Sands Casino Smashes Its Table Games Record

Sands Casino brings in $14 million in gross revenue from table games in January, a $4 million increase over a year ago, Gaming Control Board says.

  The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem shattered its previous record for table games play in January, grossing nearly $14 million, according to figures released last week by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Combined with the $22.9 million the Sands grossed from slot machine play, the casino brought in $36.9 million in revenue as opposed to the $32.5 million in revenue the South Bethlehem casino brought in during January 2012. An increase of $4 million in revenue from table games play at the Sands represented a 40 percent increase over a year ago, cementing the Bethlehem casino as the most popular place for table games in Pennsylvania.
