A pit bull attacked two adults and their dog, Salisbury off-duty cops will have to follow a new policy, winter parking could get restricted on the east side and other stories topped Salisbury Patch news last week.
Salisbury Township police shot and killed a stray pit bull Monday after it bit two people and seriously injured their dog and lunged at the officers, according to police. Police charged Montreal Howard of Allentown, with violating a township ordinance on animals running at large. Tammie Jesberger, her father, Bill Tittel, and their 6-year-old cockapoo, Oreo, allegedly were attacked by the pit bull in their Pearl Avenue neighborhood. Oreo underwent four hours of emergency surgery after suffering puncture wounds and a broken jaw in the attack, its owner said. Residents who live in the warren of congested, narrow streets in Eastern Salisbury Township made worse during snow storms may soon have to comply with new parking restrictions in winter…
