One Injured in Salisbury School Bus Accident
One person was injured when a Paragon Transportation school bus was struck after it cut off a car traveling west on E. Emmaus Avenue, according to Salisbury Township police.
One person was injured when a school bus traveling east on E. Emmaus Avenue was hit from behind by a car early Tuesday, according to Salisbury Township Police. The accident occurred at 7:15 a.m. when the driver of the Paragon Transportation school bus, Stephen Bertalan, 71, of Allentown, turned left onto Hausman Avenue, cutting off a car driven by Vamuley Kamara, 23, of Philadelphia, who was traveling west on Emmaus Avenue, according to Officer Bryan Losagio. Kamara suffered moderate injuries when his car struck the rear of the bus, Losagio said. He was taken by ambulance to be treated at St. Luke's University Hospital, Fountain Hill, Losagio said. No Serious Injuries in Lehigh Christian Academy Bus Crash
Six people, including four Lehigh Christian Academy students, were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, after a school bus and car collided Thursday morning on S. Cedar Crest Blvd.
10:50 a.m. update: The four Lehigh Valley Christian Academy students riding on a Parkland School bus involved in a crash Thursday morning were not injured, according to the Parkland School District. The bus driver, whose name has not been released, was is undergoing precautionary testing but appears not to be seriously injured, officials said. The bus was hit by an oncoming car that crossed the center line on S. Cedar Crest Blvd. in South Whitehall Township and hit the rear of the bus, the district said in a news release. In an attempt to avoid the collision, the bus driver veered the school bus to the right, and the oncoming car hit the rear wheel of the bus. The collision caused the bus to roll on its side.
