'Restaurant Impossible' Tackles Fountain Hill Eatery

Benner Street Restaurant & Bar, a Fountain Hill staple since 1999, is undergoing a transformation from Food Network chef Robert Irvine on 'Restaurant Impossible.'

Fountain Hill's Benner Street Restaurant & Bar is in the cross-hairs of Food Network chef Robert Irvine this week, according to an article on WFMZ.com. 

The restaurant, in business since 1999, is being featured on the Food Network's 'Restaurant Impossible" show.

According to the Food Network website, Irvine's show attempts to turn around failing restaurants in just two days with $10,000. Irvine implements new menus, design changes and retrains staff members, including the owners.

The restaurant, at 1028 Broadway, has been closed since Tuesday, according to an article in The Morning Call.

The grand reopening will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
