Commissioners Balk at Regulating 'Slacklining'

The practice of 'slacklining,' which involves walking a nylon tightrope between two points, is now popular at Lindberg Park.

Salisbury Township Commissioners recently balked at taking action to curb the practice of 'slacklining,' which involved walking a nylon tightrope tied to two points.

In this case, the points, according to township Recreation Director Genny Baillie, are trees at Lindberg Park.

Baillie told commissioners that the practice could lead to liability issues.

However, commissioners disagreed, although Township Manager Randy Soriano suggested a change in the current ordinance concerning what one can and can't do in township parks.

In the end, commissioners decided to not to regulate the behavior, according to the minutes of a township meeting.
